How to Creat a Transparent GIF in Photoshop?

Transparent GIFs are useful when you have colorful backgrounds on your page or if you change your background frequently. A transparent GIF is a GIF with one color that is transparent, meaning any colors or pictures behind that color will show through.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to create transparent image. This tutorial is intended for relatively new users of photoshop, and is not intended for use by professional, or advanced level users. This is a basic tutorial, covering a basic fundamental technique that most or all photoshop users will eventually know one day.
Creat Transparent GIF
Step1 Start Photoshop and open the image that we want to remove the backgroud from.

Step2 Add the selected area.
Using the magic wand
or lasso
tool, select the area you want to be transparent.If necessary, zoom in on the image so you can clearly see the edges.

Note: You may want to experiment a few times with the tolerance and anti-aliasing settings to get just the right selection.
Step3 Delete the background .
Hit the Delete button. The selected area is removed and a checkered background becomes visible. This background is not part of the image — it is there to show you which parts of the image will be transparent.
Step4 Save the image as GIF
From the File menu select Save As... and save the image as a GIF. A window will prompt you for colour options — make sure the Transparent option is checked .

Note: Experiment with the other options in this window to see how various combinations work.
And there you have it, a transparent GIF :
Now you see it is easy to creat a transparent GIF. It's critical that you create your transparent Gif against the background color it will be used on (see above picture) or else you will get an unwanted abrupt transition like this on the white background This is the same picture as the one above .
