How to turn on Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 media sharing

Software you need: Windows Media Player
With Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 media sharing, if you have a networked digital media player, you can enjoy the contents of your Player library on that device, no matter where it is in your home. And if you are using Microsoft Windows Vista, you can share digital media between computers.
1. Click the arrow below the Library tab, and then click Media Sharing.

2. In the Media Sharing dialog box, select the Share my media to check box.

3. In the list of devices below the Share my media to check box, select a device.

4. Do one of the following:
- If you want to share your media with the computer or device you have selected, click Allow.
- If you don't want to share your media with the computer or device you have selected, click Deny.
Media sharing is compatible with all PlaysForSure digital media receivers. Compatible devices also include the following:
- Acer AT3705-MGW LCD TV
- BridgeCo DMP 3.0
- Denon AVR-4306, AVR-4806, AVR-5805
- Digitrex PFS Network HD LCD TV
- D-Link DSM-520, DSM-120
- HP MediaSmart LCD HDTV (SLC3760N)
- LG LRM-519
- Microsoft Xbox 360 , MSNTV2
- Philips SLM5500 , SLA-5500
- Pioneer PRO-1140HD

Note: Whichever device you choose, be sure to install the latest firmware and drivers available.

These are routers that allow Windows Media Player to recognize digital media devices and successfully share and stream content to them. Most of these routers are also compatible with Xbox Live.
