Have you ever received error messages when trying to download skins using RealPlayer? Don't worry, this guide will be help you.

This guide applies to:

- RealPlayer

When you try to download skins in RealPlayer, the download may fail for a number of reasons. The most common reasons are that traffic is heavy on the Internet, your Web browser is out-of-date, other programs are interfering, or MIME types are not being recognized.

Here are some ways to solve it:

Solution 1: Try again later.

You may have trouble downloading skins if the Internet or your Internet Service Provider is experiencing high traffic. Try playing files at another time.

Solution 2: Update your Web browser.

RealPlayer requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or later. To check which version of your browser is installed:

1. Open your Web browser.

2. From the Help menu, choose About. The version of the Web browser should be listed here.

Solution 3: Close background programs.

Please see Close other programs running in the background in Windows for instructions.

Solution 4: Redefine your MIME types.

Redefining the MIME (Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions) types for downloading of skins can help:
